Welcome!

My name is Alanna Greene. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Master of Arts in Public History with a concentration in Museum Studies from Appalachian State University. My Bachelor of Science in Applied and Public History is also from Appalachian State University. I am a mountaineer through and through!

My interest in the field is museum education. I look forward to educating the public within the museum space and creating memorable experiences for all.

Why museums? Why Public History?

Public Historians ask ourselves this on repeat, not to second guess our passions, but to continue evolving. The field of public history is constantly changing and so are the needs of the public. I want to cater to those needs and expand on them to be more enjoyable than before.

Beyond History

I have spent two years as a graduate assistant for the Office of Academic Services for Student-Athletes, working with graduate and undergraduate-level student-athletes. My time has mostly been spent with football students but I have the pleasure of briefly working with almost every Appalachian State University-sponsored team!

The professional development and skills that I have gained during my time at ASA have been invaluable.
